How do you know you're a caregiver?

If you have any doubts about your status, I suggest you take "Are You a Caregiver" Quiz. Think back over the last year and ask yourself the following questions:

Have I . . .

* Taken my loved one to a healthcare professional or spoken with any healthcare professionals about my loved one's health?

* Helped my loved one dress, bathe, prepare or eat a meal?

* Administered to my loved one's medical needs?

* Assisted my loved one with shopping, paying bills or doing chores around the house?

* Arranged for outside services for my loved one, such as nurse's aides, transportation, housekeeping, medical care or other personal services?

* Handled issues relating to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, health insurance or other aspects of my loved one's finances?

* Been involved in decisions regarding my loved ones housing options or housing needs?

* If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are a caregiver.

Find The Documents You Need For A Loved One

Caring for a loved one involves many things other than feeding, bathing, and dressing. You may become a primary caregiver to a loved one as well as an advocate in legal circumstances. When you begin care, you will need all the correct documentation in order to speak on their behalf.
It can be hectic managing more than one household. Anything you can do to make the tasks easier on yourself is good. When you need some form of documentation, you want to know where it is so you can get your hands on it in a hurry. This simple matter of organizing documents is more important than ever when you are a caregiver to a loved one. It brings peace of mind not only to your loved one, but also to you.
You will want to keep important documents stored safely in a large plastic Ziploc bag inside a  metal file box, a small safe, or a safety deposit box. Be sure the documents are in a location that is easy to find by you or other family members. Remember: You will be at your worst when the time comes to find and present these documents, so be sure you know where they are. Here is a short list of the documents you will want to locate.
Last Will and Testament
This is the documentation that tells you where your loved one wants their money, property, and goods to go when they pass on. When a person dies without a will, the courts have a specific way of handling things that may not honor their wishes. Encourage your loved one to make a will if they don’t already have one. There are simple to use formats online that you can fill out, sign and have reviewed by an attorney.
Living Will
In a living will, your loved one can stipulate what type of medical care or intervention they want or don’t want to receive. Be careful about beneficiary designations. A trustee of the estate may also be the primary beneficiary and end up with a big tax bill for unsettled debts or charges incurred concerning property and such. Consult an attorney with any questions about taxes and property.
Medical information
In an emergency, you don’t want to be fumbling around for a list of medications or doctor’s numbers. Keep a list of all of this information in a central location for easy reference. List allergies, medications, and the length of time on medications. Keep this information updated.
Insurance information
Find the policies for all insurance including medical, home, vehicle, and life. Become familiar with policies so you know how much they are worth and what stipulations there are on payouts. Many people miss out on having insurance pay for certain services for their loved one because they don’t know where the information is. Many insurance companies now offer their policy holders an online version of the policy. Print that out and keep it safe.
Power of Attorney
This is important when a loved one becomes incapacitated and needs someone to make decisions on their behalf. Even if a person is not incapacitated fully, you may have taken over bill paying or other simple money tasks. You may have been given your loved one’s checkbook to pay bills with or do grocery shopping, but if you don’t have power of attorney, it is illegal to sign that check. Discuss this situation with your attorney.
Protecting your loved one is all a part of taking care of them. Knowing where their pertinent information is can help you to do that. Again, the moment to find these important documents is not when you need them, it’s when you don’t.

Politicians are not the solutions

The Filipino people can no longer be a second class citizen of their own country. They have to begin to be more innovative, with the situation affecting the whole world from the issue of Health, Medicine, Economy, Education, Agriculture, Science and Technology, Ecology before the country and it's people sink into the abyss. It is a complex issues that the country and the people is now facing but the country can no longer afford another brain drain with a changing world. Politicians are not the solution to the problems of society, it would be the students responsibilities that can correct the menace and jinx's of society. I am not encouraging activism or radicalism for it will only damage the image of the Philippines in the International scene. I am promoting for Universities, Colleges and other form of Higher Education Institutions to bring the best of their intellectual students to have peace and order, work together in unity to "SAVE THE PHILIPPINES" and the Filipino people from global change.

Bonsai Fields of Mt. Hamiguitan

Truly one of Mother Nature's gifts to the Filipino people, the Bonsai fields of Mt. Hamiguitan, which is situated no less than 5,345 feet above sea level, consists of more than 1,000 hectares of forest life filled with wild and exciting flora and fauna. As the name suggests, Bonsai trees span most of the given area.

These century-old trees stand 2-3 feet tall, with the tallest reaching only 5 feet in height, and are so sturdy that one can literally carry the weight of a man on its branches. It is like finding oneself suddenly in a veritable enchanted garden right in the middle of the jungle. Worst Commercial Air Accident

Air France has told families of passengers on Flight 447 that the jetliner broke apart and they must abandon hope that anyone survived.

The plane broke apart either in the air or when it slammed into the ocean, carrying 228 people disappeared after leaving Rio de Janeiro for Paris on Sunday night.

Investigators were relying heavily on the plane's automated messages to help reconstruct what happened to the jet as it flew through towering thunderstorms. The messages detail a series of failures that end with its systems shutting down, suggesting the plane broke apart in the sky according to an aviation industry official with knowledge of the investigation.

Air France is the deadliest plane crash, and world's worst commercial air accident since 2001.

Securing 2010 Philippine Computerized Election

Computers around the world are systematically being victimized by rampant hacking. This hacking is not only widespread, but is being executed so flawlessly that the attackers compromise a system, steal everything of value and completely erase their tracks within 20 minutes.

Hackers could affect next year's Philippine Computerized Presidential Election by using keyloggers, phishing messages or hacking. They has the potential to cause material damage to a candidate in the process of an election.

I have come to the conclusion that in our country, automating the elections is no guarantee if we are exposed to hacker who may manipulate the elections. I would suggest that Commission on Election (COMELEC) should undergo on IT Security Training so as to safeguard our votes. Here, IT Professional will provide innovative and effective solutions to our polls. The IT Security Training should have the following:
-Security Fundamentals
-Ethical Hacking
-Penetration Testing
-Computer Forensics

-Disaster Recovery
-Secure Programming

Our single vote can be a voice, just like in America, but how can we know if our vote counts? For now, nobody knows the answer to our problems but i can assure if this training gives important to our government now.
